What’s your favourite movie of all time? Don’t pick something boring, think about a CLASSIC film that made you genuinely feel something, a film that made you stop and think and say “wow”. Now imagine every different twist and turn of the plot – take Forrest Gump for example, that story line has more twists than John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. Using only three colours, (that includes black and white don’t even try to hack the system) try and draw out the story’s plot in less that five vectors. Vectors are shapes that can easily be created in programmes like Adobe Illustrator, for those of you that don’t know, and these shapes are made in a variety of different ways – I prefer the pen tool for this particular task. The image above is a perfect example of how to approach this task, simple colour palette of black and a pale, lime, green (I love colours that aren’t really bright and sickly), four clear, bold, iconic symbols and the elegant composition makes the bike look like it’s actually flying (hint hint hint).
