Hello, hey, hi and thank you so much for visiting my brand new website, hopefully I’ve impressed you so far? This is all very new to me, so please bare with me! You see, I’m very much a sketchbooky sort of person who loves to write notes on anything I can grab: a napkin, a water bill or a receipt from my morning trip to Costa, so actually transitioning from paper to a very techy website is a bit scary… I mean I guess I don’t have to worry about smudging ink or spelling something wrong but now I have widgets and plugins to cry over.
So here we go – wish me luck, and good luck to you too as I’m a cheesy pun machine and if your skin crawls at horrifically bad jokes then get out now because this is seriously nacho scene. Let me give you a little run down, I am THE Sophie Doyle: Grey’s Anatomy has changed my life, I buy waaaaaay too many moleskin notebooks, my diet consists of Wagamamas (thank you Deliveroo) and there’s nothing I hate more than polystyrene.
Tea and a Pencil is the name that best describes the work that I do. I can sit for hours and just doodle away in books, doodling random things that pop into my head – quotes that friends have said throughout the day, things I’ve seen people do whilst watching them over the top of newspapers on the tube, just anything that makes me laugh. In my mind, there’s nothing better than brewing yourself up the perfect cuppa (milk, no sugar), grabbing a blanket, switching on trashy tv (X Factor is my top choice), sharpening my pencil and just letting my mind escape through the bliss of drawing.
When I was in school I never really had confidence in my drawing abilities, I was always such a perfectionist, rubbing things out, shading over and over until the apple looked so realistic you could eat it, and this sort of took all the fun out of art for me. I constantly felt like I would have to spend hours and hours on my work in order to make things look just like a photograph. Then I started college and was welcomed into the world of Graphic Design with open arms like a kid in a sweet shop. No longer did I feel trapped behind rules, no longer was there a right way to do something – for once I had the freedom to experiment and find my own unique style. I could mono-print using leaves, draw using only my wrong hand, I could colour outside the lines and chuck paint onto canvases in ways that I wanted to, I finally realised that perfection wasn’t the perfect thing.
My first year of university also helped me to break out of comfort zones, this is where I really started to enjoy my art. I am definitely a lover of digital work, I mean I can use Photoshop as easily as one fries an egg, I have more tech gadgets than Currys, but my true love is illustration. Ever since I was little, my dream was to illustrate children’s books: Nick Sharratt, Beatrice Potter and Quentin Blake being my true inspirations in this field. At the moment I am very much into fine-liners, creating characters and decorating my drawings to look super cute and magical. I am slowly becoming more and more confident with my style and this will only get better with more feedback and having the confidence to throw my designs out there for the world to see.

JA korzystam z KDE 4 już ze 2 lata i muszę stwierdzić, że to windows i gnome powinny być podobne do kde4. Przyzwyczaajenie to jedno a wygoda to drugie. Znając gnome i windowsa zawsze mi w nich brak kilkudziesięciu fajnych rzeczy z KDE 4. Jednak ja korzystam z Opensuse z KDE.

That is so wonderful. After we were married for five months we found out she was expecting our first one. At the time we were students and couldn’t afford a honeymoon. We had to wait until our 25th anniversary to head to Vegas and … well what happens in Vegas… you know the saying. Now for our 30th – we are heading to the Isle of Wight in the UK where I will be marrying my daughter, two days before our anniversary. Many many people applied for these purchase loans when they thought the tax credit was going away the end of November. In my state the USDA is now working on November 5th loans to review. It is the process and it takes time to get done when there may be hundreds of loans in their stack to be reviewed

You can tell when an article is written by someone not familiarwith Android. In android you can store apps in folders on screens, or access them from the app tray. The number of screens is irrelevant with respect to how mant apps you can access or install. Twelve folders on one screen would easy provide access to several hundred apps with two taps (not swipes) of a figer.

I cannot tell you why, but I do recall very well that the Ordination of Women (Deacons) bill of 1986 and the Ordination of Women (Priests) bill of 1992 both had to go through Parliament in their entirety after being approved by the Church of England’s General Synod — possibly (at a guess) because being recognized as a “Clerk in Holy Orders” of the Established Church has legal implications for those having that status, and so parliamentary legislation to that effect would be necessary.

“Learned Optimism” by Martin Seligman Brian thanks for reposting this TV Note. I missed it before. Learned optimism is what I was made aware of from an early age. I recall hearing, “Always look at the bright side.” I still believe the blessings I have are due to being optimistic. The downside is that “happy, happy, happy,” can go overboard by glossing over factors which can prevent a viable solution. Usually though, I’ve found better solutions because of optimistic thinking.
I think it looks great! I love small changes that can make me so happy!I also think the old coffee table could be pretty somewhere else, maybe with a coat of paint? =)

21bRaw food is VERY intimidating from an outside perspective – I know exactly what you mean. I used to feel that way myself. But you’re right; when you think about it, at least ingredient/component-wise, it’s the simplest type of cuisine! Don’t be nervous – just start with a few mix ‘n eat dish (Ani Phyo’s recipes are great) and go from there.

Tried this trail tonight – had been on parts of it before but I don’t think tick alley. Didn’t do the whole loop because I was not feeling it but did about 50 minutes out and then 40 back. Really nice trail, good views, and tonight with perfect weather, only saw one mountain biker on the way back in passing on a trail near me. I ran/walked/hiked. Tick Alley was a bit dusty in spots but otherwise, the trails are in good shape. I look forward to going back when I have more time and energy to do the whole loop!

When it comes to being healthy, it’s not necessarily the amount you weigh, but where that weight is coming from. Muscle is a lot heavier than fat, so being toned may mean you weigh more. This isn’t to discourage you in your ultimate goal, but just a reminder not to get too fixed on the number and more on what makes your body healthy.

Hey, I KNEW I'd seen you posted a deal for paper pieces somewhere, so I did a search on your blog and voila, found it! That's a pretty deep discount. Thank you! the prices have increased since the last time I ordered umpteen years ago. Anyway, that really helps. And I'm going to order an acrylic template too because it's a bit of a pain placing a ruler out from the paper piece to get the correct size of fabric. Yep, that's what I've been doing lol.

I’ve heard from several agents about my latest book idea, and they all say the same thing: they like it, but it just doesn’t grab them. Sometimes I think there’s an indescribable “thing” that agents and editors are looking for, that they can’t even describe. That’s over and above these reasons book manuscripts are rejected.

I wish I “felt” DeMarco Murray’s presence in Week 4, when I had to drop him in my 16 team keeper league.
