After what seems like a lifetime of Netflix and chilling over Christmas, binge watching everything and anything, I have finally started university again yippee! After being introduced to all my new modules I am literally so bloody excited to crack on with everything as there’s so much potential for me to create some amazing work for my portfolio. On Tuesdays I now have a module called Negotiated Projects with a new lecturer called Kate Jessop. Her work is right up my street, as she makes illustrated animations and short films, which I’ve always wanted to try out and experiment with. In this module I am required to create a thirty second title sequence for a book that hasn’t been made into a movie yet using After Effects, which I will learn through some valuable workshops. We were shown plenty of examples in our first lecture (Catch Me If You Can and A Series of Unfortunate Events) so I am really eager to start creating artwork for my chosen book which is called Maresi.
